What is AI brand monitoring?
AI brand monitoring is the practice of regularly checking how generative AI engines describe, recommend and cite your brand. Instead of watching social feeds or news mentions, you watch the answers that large language models produce when people ask questions related to your category, your products and your competitors.
In practice, that means building a set of realistic prompts, such as "best project management software for small agencies" or "which running shoes are good for flat feet", sending them to each AI engine, and capturing the full response. Each answer is then analysed for three things: whether your brand is mentioned, how prominently and positively it is described, and which web pages the engine cites as sources.
It is important to be precise about what monitoring can and cannot see. No tool can read the private conversations individual people have with ChatGPT or any other assistant. What a monitoring platform like Jasno does is sample the answers engines give to a defined, representative set of prompts, repeatedly and consistently. That sample becomes a reliable signal of how AI engines are likely to talk about you, and it lets you measure change over time rather than guessing.
